WEB RANger-II Entry Level Routers
WEB RANger-II is a compact access router that connects a small to
medium-size network to the Internet or private services, utilizing Frame
Relay, E1/T1 or synchronous services. IP and IPX routing and standard
bridging are implemented opposite any third-party router. One or two
Ethernet interfaces are supported (10Base2 or 10BaseT). WEB RANger-
II allows branch offices to integrate routed LAN traffic and voice from a
PBX over a single E1/T1 connection to company headquarters. Similarly,
it allows service providers to offer both IP services and Fractional E1/T1
connection to the PBX over a single E1/T1 or Fractional E1/T1 connec-
tion. The single IP address translation feature allows a small or medium-
size office LAN to connect to the Internet using a single, dynamically or
statically allocated IP address from the central access router . An SNMP
agent provides management by RADview or any other standard SNMP
management station. The automatic bypass feature for sub-E1/T1
provides automatic join-up of timeslots on E1/T1 and sub-E1/T1 links in
the event of power failure. Quick setup is performed via a terminal
attached to the control port, or by using Telnet access to the device over
the LAN or WAN

applications that do not require routing. Call Pulse for
more details and ordering options.
TinyRouter Miniature Low Cost IP Router
TinyRouter is a high performance, miniature IP router. It is based
on RAD's unique IP router chip, the ChipRouter, and therefore
operates with minimal software. Its small size and low cost
make it ideal for cost-sensitive routing applications. It
requires only one software parameter to be configured
making it a plug and play device. TinyRouter is available
with 10Base5 (AUI) or 10BaseT (UTP) interfaces and is fully
IEEE 802.3 / Ethernet v2 compliant. The 10BaseT interface
can also operate in full duplex Ethernet applications. A choice of
WAN interfaces is available, including V.24, V.35, V.36, X.21, RS-530,
fiber optic or internal 4-wire modem. In the case of electrical WAN
interfaces, the TinyRouter acts as a DTE device to the WAN. The integral
4-wire interface allows wire speed routing over copper cabling in the
campus, up to distances of 1300m/4265 ft depending on cable type.
TinyRouter provides hardware based traffic throughput control at user
configured speeds of 64 kbps, 128 kbps, 512 kbps, 1 Mbps and 10 Mbps.
TinyRouter can operate with asymmetrical Tx and Rx speeds.
